What is a Mediterranean Diet?
A Mediterranean diet consists of tons of unprocessed plant foods. Eat things that contain rice, grains, noodles, potatoes, fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds beans, and herbs and spices. Try drinking plant-based beverages like herbal or regular tea. Eat fish, poultry, and eggs in place of red meat. Only drink wine, beer, or other alcoholic drinks sparingly.
The main idea of a Mediterranean diet is to eat things that are low in saturated and total fats. Most of your fats consumed should come from nuts, legumes, vegetable, and nut oils. Avoid processed foods in the center aisles in the store. They are high in fat, sugar, carbohydrates, preservatives, and chemicals.
